So hey all!
Some of you might have noticed that I’ve been quite absent from both the blogging and AussieCurves circles for a few weeks now! As my professional work / design portfolio / travel blog can inform you (although also lacking updates since my short stay in Scotland), I’m on a super fun but super full on semester abroad scholarship in the fashion capital, Milano.
Today I took myself down for a waddle through my home town – Brunswick, Melbourne. Bruswick is known greatly for it’s eccentricities, often referred to – alongside Fitzroy – as Australia’s Portland or Williamsburg. I know what you’re thinking… hipsters? Yes. But, as well as that, there’s this beautiful eclectic, artistic, eccentric, vintage-yet-lively associations I make. This + my nostalgia value = so much value. Being comfortable in my setting, plus Melbourne weather, plus sunburn means makeup didn’t happen and dressing was for function.
Something a little strange about me is that the colder the weather, the shorter the skirt. which would mean… the warmer the weather the longer the skirt, right? Correct! It might not seem to make sense, but I can just about say that all of my skirts are either super short and worn with tights OR my skirts are super long and flowy (as seen in the previous AC post ft my green BIB maxi skirt.).
